The Green Drink

My rendition of “l’Absinthe” (a painting by Edgar Degas;1875). My dreamscape involves the lady drinking her “eponymous greenish liquid” in front of her and having a hallucination about being a young woman that is just beginning to blossom…like the roses on her hat. In Degas painting the setting is in Paris at Cafe de la Nouvelle-Athenes with actress Ellen Andree and a painter, Marcellin Desboutin.
