My friend, Michael Saunders, has a beautiful garden. He, too, is an artist, and also, a photographer. He took a photo of this scene and was kind enough to let me paint it. I actually did a “study” of it first and loved it so much that I was excited to paint it larger.
One of the problems I had with the painting were the white daffodils. They are actually not the usual daffodil because these are called “Narcissus – Acropolis”, but commonly called a double daffodil!
