During the month of August 2022, I traveled up to the Smoky Mountains, then over to Tybee Island and back west to Dallas/home. I saw a lot of wonderful country side, lakes and mountains. I even mistakenly (because of GPS) took my RV thru the “Tail of the Dragon”…so, now I am considered a “dragon slayer”, LOL!
Solitude Pointe and South Carolina…was so peaceful. I loved it. Ashton and I caught fish at this very spot. Though this site was across the road from our RV site, it was the closest to the river you could be at our campground. The weather was beautiful and having a break from the 100 degree weather in Texas was worth the drive. We even had a bear in camp! Luckily not ours but just a few spots away they/he/she got into the dumpster and threw the trash everywhere.
