2018 Publisher's Invitational to Canadian Rockies. Day 4; The weather had been predicted to be in the 50's but this region of Alberta Canada had a historical early snowfall. This did not stop me from painting en plein aire. Geared with ski wear and warmers, I trekked about finding places that inspired me. This is Vermilion Lake outside of Banff. Even though it was not snowing the lake was frozen over and this was the coldest weather I have ever painted in.
