I painted this at the Allison's ranch outside of Fort Stockton, Texas, while Larry, myself, Lisa and John Allison stopped there for a couple of days. I just had my art show in San Angelo at RAW 1899. After this stop we all are on our way to Big Bend National Park.
One morning, while at the ranch, I took a stroll out to the barn and was captivated by the sight of this beautiful horse and how it's hair glowed from the early morning bright sun. She seemed very happy to be eating and basking, not baking from the heat (yet), in the light.
