Blessed

Blessed is said to be one of Elton John's favorite songs. I believe some people are born with talents that far exceed the norm. At an early age Elton (or Reginald; the name he was born with) began his relationship with music and the piano. You can feel his passion and connection to his performances. He has had many trials and tribulations; not all glory as one might think. He is an alcoholic, addicted to drugs, had cancer and has had surgery on his larynx. Any one of these could have ended his life and/or career. But at 72 he is still thriving. One cannot know Elton without also paying tribute to his career partner, Bernie Taupin, as well. They have both been blessed with awesome talents and I feel blessed to have witnessed their careers.
