This past Sunday, I went to the Membership Show Reception for the Visual Arts Guild Frisco…what a nice treat! There is a lot of art this year and I must say the competition level is growing. The curator was Robyn Parker Freehan from Gallery 8680. Much to my surprise, I won first place in “painting”. As an artist, value from my peers means so much to me.
Right now, I am in San Francisco looking at galleries and for trade show products. Did I mention in January 2018 I will be at ArtExpoLasVegas! OMG…52,000 attendees! This will be by far my largest event ever!

Milessa was born a big city girl in a dry, desolate area of Texas where the only trees she saw were mesquite and the only things to climb was her horse. She remembers a lot of brown but that did not stop her from dreaming in beautiful, bold color. She paints in a playful and visual style.
