What was I thinking?
I’ll bet you didn’t know that Pablo Picasso was the co-inventor of collage. born in Malaga, Spain, spent most of his life in France. He is best known for cubism but he is also know for co-inventing collage. This piece was inspired by my trip to Chicago where I visited the Art Institute of Chicago. I saw more Picasso’s there than I have ever seen…maybe it’s because Chicago is the home of a very large steel sculpture he created for them in 1967. His style varied throughout his lifetime. Because I am a colorist, his pieces are dull (color wise) in comparison…LOL! Hope he doesn’t get mad and throw one of those balls at me.
