Oct 2020 – Fall Color Week Invitational for Plein Aire Magazine, Eric Rhoads, Publisher. Jackson, New Hampshire.
I am thrilled to finally be able to get out of the house (due to Covid-19) and paint with fellow artists. There are 43 in our group. We flew into Boston and drove up to Jackson, NH. Seeing the beautiful fall colors is a feast. I love gold's, oranges and the reds.
I really love painting Birch and Aspens trees when their leaves change colors. The bark is enhanced with lovely colors. This group seemed like the perfect grouping to be painted. Again today, it is very windy, so I my pochade was rocking and swaying but hearing the leaves rustling was good for my creative soul.
