I remember when I used “film” in my camera and had to roll it out very carefully, ship it off to a darkroom to be processed or developed…do you remember those days? I loved seeing views of what the darkroom looked like as it developed a negative. The colors were quite different than the actual image that was printed out onto photographic paper. I decided for my next two paintings of the #MMSProject52 to use these memories as my conceptual idea’s. One looks a bit more like an infrared process, I hear from my husband, Dr. Larry Stewart! He’s a photographer! LOL…I’ve never looked in an infrared lens to know so I’ll take his word for it.
Both paintings are sculptures from the Hall Office Park. I am really having fun coming up with different creative idea’s to paint these sculptures for my weekly project. You will be able to see the whole collection on October 8, 2016, at Frisco’s Sculpture Walk. I will be posting more details about the event in the coming month or two.
