Did you ever see the movie “On Golden Pond”? It starred Jane Fonda with her father, Henry Fonda. It’s a classic!  This painting is considered a “classic” style.  It’s good for me to bounce back and forth from this style to abstract to keep me alert and fresh.  I like to keep the audience wondering what is coming next…and I love to challenge myself with many styles.

Many artists like to stick to one style so that they become “famous” for that style.  But it’s gets too monotonous for me.  Do you like only one kind of food?  Do you only like one cologne or perfume?  Do you change your clothing styles as you get older?  Pretty much, everyone likes change whether or not they admit it.  We like having a plethora of choice.  Painting for me is food.  I have to have it to survive…so it only makes since that I like my diet to have variety!  LOL!  Any thoughts on this subject, of course, is open for debate!
